How to Understand Native Speakers

Good listening skills help you be more confident and comfortable when talking to native speakers, especially in business.

In this episode, you’re going to improve your listening skills by listening to a real estate agent talk about how to buy a house.

You'll listen to her response, and then, I'll break down every line to help you understand speech patterns that native speakers use that will help you both listen and speak more naturally.

Check your listening skills with the transcript below as you listen to the podcast episode.

Transcript: Buying a House

When you are a buyer, you first put the offer in.

You negotiate until you get a mutually agreed upon price and all the other terms.

Then you do inspections.

After inspections come back and you negotiate any deficiencies, you will order the appraisal, if it is in fact a loan that you’re acquiring the property with.

And then, after the appraisal comes back, if it comes back properly, you purchase the home.
